Your need doesn’t move God like His Word in your heart. Your feelings do not move Him like His Word. Your understanding of this subject will help you to prioritize the Word and give it first place in your life.
Luke 8:20-21 (Amplified)
20 And it was told Him, Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, desiring to have an interview with you.
21 But He answered them, my mother and my brothers are those who listen to the Word of God and do it.
When God’s Word Moves You, You Move God
The difference between where you are and where you want to be is action. Acting on the Word of God is what releases God into your situation. When you do the Word of God you move God. And when God moves, He removes impossibilities out of your way. A biological relationship was not sufficient to get a positive response from Jesus when the crowd said, “Your mother and brothers want your attention.” God is committed to those who are committed to His Word. Jesus will attend to you if you attend to His Word.
Doing the Word is the Most Important Thing to Do
There is no project or venture on earth as profitable as doing the Word. Your rating with God is determined by how you value and do the Word. The tangible presence of Jesus is always with those who do His Word and not just those who go to church.
His mother and brothers were outside desiring His attention and yet His commitment was with those who were hearing the Word with the intention of doing it.
The response of Jesus gives us an insight into the inner working of His mind. He had a brutal focus on the Word. The Word was the motivation for whatever He did. He was incontrovertibly committed to the Word.
The Emerging Professional Practioners of the Word
A breed of people will surface on the earth who are only moved be God’s Word. They shall have practical dominion of the earth. These are men and women who will flood the earth with the goodness of God. It is acting on the Word that releases the goodness of God in the earth.
Do not become religious. Become a Professional Practioner of the Word (PPW). Be a doer of the Word. Become skilled in doing the Word. God does nothing without the Word. When you do the Word, you are functioning like God.
Rulers do the Word.
