Many people identify themselves with their situations. Therefore if their situations seem helpless then they see themselves as helpless. And for many the only reason why their situations have not changed is that they are waiting for God to do it. I trust you will be helped by this week’s teaching.
Your Spiritual Status Changed Instantly
The moment you believed on the son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, you instantly received a change of status by becoming a new creature in your spirit – the real you.
2 Corinthians 5:17 -18
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
The change of your spiritual status means there are new spirit realities or Spiritual truths about your life. For example you can actually live the highly exalted life of Christ (eternal Life) on the earth:
Ephesians 2:4
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Your new status must dominate your thinking. You must live from your new status. This calls for diligent study and meditation in the Word of truth.
Grow in the Understanding of Your New Status
1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
You begin your new and glorious spiritual status as a baby. This is why you need to develop and grow in your understanding of your status. There is no way you are going to impact the earth with your new status operating like a baby, i.e. baby in your thinking, your choices, your speech, your love-walk etc. You have to be diligent and committed to the development of your born again spirit if you want to be a success for God.
Your Situation is Your Creation
Whether your situation will change or not is up to you. You are responsible for your situation. You see, God is responsible for creating your spiritual status but you are responsible for creating your situation. You can change whatever situation you don’t want by creating a new one. Many people are waiting for God to change their situation. If God was responsible for your situation He would have changed it by now. Think about it: why will God change your status instantly at your new birth and yet take forever to change your situation? The answer is He is not the one to do it!
