The right focus is a critical factor in surviving and even thriving in dire conditions. I want to share something with you that would change your life in a profound and phenomenal way.
Proverbs 24:10
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
Please think deeply about the truth revealed in the above scripture. God is saying to you that your real problem is subjective and not objective. Chew on that for a minute.
God says if you faint in the day of adversity, tightness, affliction, anguish, distress and tribulation it isn’t that the trouble is unsurmountable or chronic but that it is your strength that is small. Your strength determines how you turn out in turbulent times and not the difficulty of your situation.
The great news then is this; you are totally and completely responsible for how strong you are. In fact there is no limit to how strong you can be. Can you see that your real problem is subjective? It has to do with you and your strength and not the adversity.
You may be wondering, “If my real problem is my level of strength then how do I increase in strength?” By the way strength does not just refer to brute force. It is spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical capacity. Strength is knowledge.
The Knowledge of God is Strength
Daniel 11:32
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Your pursuits reveal your wisdom. If you make knowing God a priority in your life you will become undefeatable. Do you understand why the devil will double the distractions in your life anytime you decide to hungrily invest time in becoming intimate with God?
Your accomplishment in life is inextricably linked to your strength, which is also a function of your personal knowledge of God. Many people have the erroneous view that spirituality is synonymous to irrelevance in the earth. How can you become intimately acquainted with the all-knowing, omni-potent and owner of the universe and remain a non- entity?
You cannot truly know God and remain unknown. Your best strategy for exploits in life is your knowledge of God.
