God Expects and Inspects Fruit: be a Fruitful Branch

My contribution to your life is to help you see, progressively, why and how to operate as a ruler on the earth and subdue it through your production. This week I want to help you see how to embrace God’s command to be productive in order to emerge a super producer this year.

God’s first Word to man…‘Be fruitful’

Genesis 1:28
‘And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful…’ (Emphasis mine)

The scripture above reveals that the first command to man was ‘be fruitful’.  Your productivity honours God, and is consistent with the image and likeness of God. God is first revealed in Scripture as a creative Producer in Genesis chapter one. Because God Himself is a Producer, he expects that His children become producers too, and also inspects their fruit. Jesus demonstrates God’s expectation and inspection of fruit with a parable.

Luke 13:6-9 (Message Translation)
6 Then he told them a story: \”A man had an apple tree planted in his front yard. He came to it expecting to find apples, but there weren\’t any.
7 He said to his gardener, \’What\’s going on here? For three years now I\’ve come to this tree expecting apples and not one apple have I found. Chop it down! Why waste good ground with it any longer?\’
8 \”The gardener said, \’Let\’s give it another year. I\’ll dig around it and fertilize,

9 and maybe it will produce next year; if it doesn\’t, then chop it down.”

Being cut down does not necessarily mean expiring. It is living a life of chronic irrelevance.  Don‘t accept anything less than awesome production from yourself this year.

Sit yourself down first

Luke 14:31
Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

Your brain ought not to be a liability this year. Feed it and sweat it. As an asset the more your sweat it the more results it generates.

We have the mind of Christ and it must show. Engage in deep and inspired thinking to discover how you can with a budget of ten thousand outperform one with twenty thousand. This is engaging miracle-efforts to conquer impossibilities. The miracle steps are discovered as you think through. If you will think through you will breakthrough.

The excuse barrier

Luke 14:16-20 (Message Translation)
16 Jesus followed up. \”Yes. For there was once a man who threw a great dinner party and invited many.
17 When it was time for dinner, he sent out his servant to the invited guests, saying, \’Come on in; the food\’s on the table.\’ `
18 „Then they all began to beg off, one after another making excuses. The first said, \’I bought a piece of property and need to look it over. Send my regrets.\’
19 \”Another said, \’I just bought five teams of oxen, and I really need to check them out. Send my regrets.\’
20 \”And yet another said, \’I just got married and need to get home to my wife.\’

An excuse is like an ill-fitting garment that obscures beauty; however, if you make one you will have to wear it. Many times what holds us back from walking in the purpose and glory of God for our lives is an excuse and not a demon. Your limitation is an excuse you have believed. To enjoy the unfathomable blessings of God you need to rid yourself of excuses.

One ‘good’ excuse can keep you stagnated forever. Is your reason for endorsing poverty in your life not rooted in an excuse? Get rid of excuses, get rid of poverty.

Your focus is your life

The two texts below capture the importance of focus if you must function in your productive best this year.

Luke 9:40-41 (Message Translation)
40 I asked your disciples to deliver him but they couldn\’t.\”
41 Jesus said, \”What a generation! No sense of God! No focus to your lives! How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this? Bring your son here.\”

1 Kings 20:39-42  (Message Translation)

39 It wasn\’t long before the king happened by. The man cried out to the king, \”Your servant was in the thick of the battle when a man showed up and turned over a prisoner to me, saying, \’Guard this man with your life; if he turns up missing you\’ll pay dearly.\’
40 But I got busy doing one thing after another and the next time I looked he was gone.\” The king of Israel said, \”You\’ve just pronounced your own verdict.\”

Lose your focus, lose your life. Your focus reveals your future. Live this year with such intense focus on what is core and germane to you. Without brutal focus on the essentials, you cannot generate the results that will make you relevant. And it is your relevance that guarantees your place in life not your permanent employment letter. Bring production into sharp focus this year. Remain relevant through focused and creative production.

Rule and Subdue the Earth!
