You are changed into the image you hold of yourself
2 Corinthians 3:18 (Amplified)
And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.
Two powerful and life transforming things take place when you continuously look into the Word: 1. You have the right revelation of God 2. You have the right revelation of yourself.
Labour in the Word to see yourself as God sees you
The only way to understand how God sees you is to discover who you are and what you have become in Christ. This new You in Christ, is the You God knows and relates with. Embrace and immerse yourself in who you are in Christ. Once you see yourself as God sees you, it will change how you view yourself, it will install a belief system that supports God’s counsel for your life and also determine your actions.
Seeing God as revealed in Christ
Hebrews1:1-3
1 ‘God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person…’
John 14:9
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
The revelation of God in Christ is who God really is. It is the clearest revelation of God in the scriptures.
It is unbelievable sometimes to hear what people have to say about God; which indeed is their revelation of who He is. Usually it stems from outright ignorance or from having been taught wrongly.
Ready to take on the World
You must see yourself as God’s choice for His global assignment for you. Taking a hold of the right revelation of God and of yourself is necessary to becoming unstoppable. Once you take your unrenewed mind out of the way, you discover new realities of God and of yourself in God.
This is accomplished through labouring in the Word constantly till more and more of God’s unstoppable and death conquering life flows to and through you to the world.
