In difficult times, the temptation is to focus on the problems that confront you. In an attempt to solve the problems you rather become intimate and marked by them. What you need to do instead is focus on producing solutions.
Genesis 41:52
And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
Joseph said God had caused him to be fruitful in the land of his affliction. The divine strategy for outgrowing your challenges is focusing on being fruitful in the midst of the afflictions. Anybody can complain about their circumstances but it takes real people with backbone to concentrate on delivering solutions in trying times.
Don’t Cry
Genesis 41:55
And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.
If you focus on the solution, you will not cry or be depressed. When the whole nation of Egypt cried, Joseph did not. Pharaoh, actually, asked all the Egyptians who were crying to go to Joseph for solutions to their problems. This is the destiny of the Church in the earth. We are not a problem but an answer.
The Church of Jesus is to the World What Joseph was to His World
Genesis 41:56
And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
The Church of Jesus is the light of the world and the storehouse of answers to her world. You should hear some people talk about the Church, and what they call the proliferation of churches, as though churches are a burden and a bother to society. Could it be because many churches have misrepresented God? Looking at the mandate of the Church, we are supposed to be a blessing to the world. If the community is unhappy with the way the Church carries out worship, is that all the Church stands for in the community? What about becoming the light in the community like Joseph was to Egypt and surrounding countries?
I See the Countries Coming
Genesis 41:57
And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
Very soon nations will be consulting you. You will have answers that are relevant to countries. To live up to this challenge, however, you will need to work on yourself, so God can deliver quality through you, on a scale that leaves your footprint in the earth. The Church cannot afford to misrepresent God. It’s our time.
